NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING (NLP)

Neuro Linguistic Programming was developed by John Grinder (a linguist) and Eric Bandler (a computer programmer) in the 1970s. It is the study of excellence, of how we each structure experience, process information inside our heads, are programmed to think, emote and behave in certain ways, and of how our languages (spoken, gestural, symbolic etc) influence our brain structure and therefore the way we approach and respond to life

NLP has continued to evolve while retaining this focus on process rather than content (not that the content is irrelevant, just secondary), and how that inner process can be altered to produce more beneficial and effective outcomes in line with people's desired intentions.

I find that combining NLP and EFT provides the best method for personal change that I have come across in 30 years of searching. Together, they gently utilise mental, emotional and physical processes, and body energies, to produce real and lasting changes that are holistic and highly effective.

LIFE COACHING

Life coaching (a term created by Anthony Robbins) has as many variations as there are coaches! I utilise it as part of the area of personal development.

I define life coaching as:

Helping someone develop their authenticity and achieve their greatest level of peace, contentment, satisfaction, happiness and unique, meaningful participation in life.

This participation can be in work, in relationships, sports, creative activities or through personal challenges at various transitional stages of life.

Why would someone want to use life coaching?

Nowadays, most of us in developed countries live above mere survival. Many of us have to face continual upheaval and change, myriad choices and decisions and often, situations that are challenging, conflicting and unclear.

Life can be a constant balancing act and we can feel that we're just running on the spot - never enough time, money, resources!

As soon as we get used to one situation it changes and we're adrift again, buffeted by the next wave that change brings. This can be exhausting and very stressful - and continued stress can be devastating in many ways; emotionally, mentally and physically with significant costs to work performance, health and relationships

So, while we can't control life, we can learn to surf the waves, find our own centre and identify what really matters - where our priorities lie - then come from that centre each time.

As an ally, I can help you discover this for yourself and assist you to maintain focus and momentum (because it's too easy to lapse when you're on your own) until what you want starts to become what you live.

In this partnership, my role and commitment are to provide guidance, support and encouragement; your role involves taking responsibility for yourself and being accountable for your commitment and participation.
